陳僖儀的不幸意外，啟示是︰或者我或這個網站都要用更多努力去留意本地新人。確實，整個香港音樂業的腐敗並不是這班新人的錯，作為香港based的音樂網站，我們或者確實未夠努力去認識這班新人。

J.Arie 雷琛瑜是太陽文化娛樂的新人，即是較容易明白的「Paco 旗下女新人」。雷琛瑜畢業於港大法律系，來發展音樂，可以想像傳媒甚至唱片公司都會用這個背景去sell 雷琛瑜，以示她對音樂的熱誠。不過，其實各行各業轉行「發展音樂」早已成為媒體間沒有創意的「推銷音樂熱情」的橋段，歌手熱誠究竟有多大，歌手是想走紅過巨星生活還是真的愛音樂？還是言之尙早。

雷琛瑜首支單曲《第一志願》的tagline是這樣「藝術家 Andy Warhol 曾經說過: Everyone must have a fantasy.」明明有「做人如果冇無夢想, 同條咸魚有咩o野分別呀!」的本土版不用，偏偏要用Andy Warhol來說出這句話，已可知雷琛瑜並非走本土大眾路線。

再看歌曲MV，穿上整齊較莊重的雷琛瑜在一班外國樂手中彈鋼琴，這刻你便知道，她不走「本土大眾路線」，卻是走starbucks中產路線。正如由藝琛/Ivan Leung處理的歌曲本身，就是一首沒有什麼發生過的一首jazzy, R&B作品，很適合在cafe 播放。是的，很cafe 亦很safe，沒有人會說這樣的作品難聽但亦沒有人會說這樣的作品是什麼精彩作品。除了編曲外，主旋律是像90s那些經典R&B作品的一個重製較angular 的版本，大家已聞到王菲《多得他》或林憶蓮的一些R&B作品。不過，較令我覺得不對勁的是雷琛瑜的聲線，當然，她的聲音是乾淨的，但乾淨是否就適合唱這個以真樂器jazz band配底的jazzy 歌曲？不，她的演唱方法很明顯聽得出沒有groove亦沒有任何soul 的元素在內，就如她的基本資料所述，她的成長環境是沒有jazz的。一個在沒有jazz環境長大的歌手很難會有那種發自自然的groove及vibe的，而她的聲音現在便証明她不是那些jazz/soul singer，至少暫時不是。不是喜歡王若琳你就是王若琳，你就要當王若琳吧？

雷琛瑜的title 是singer-songwriter，那怎麼不讓我們聽聽她自己的創作？這支作品，不過是一個為她作pitching, branding 的工廠貨。請，讓我們聽到真正的雷琛瑜來說服我們。
