達明一派用演唱會形式完整唱出他們的專輯的消息已經傳出了一陣子，等到2020年，他們終於搞《Replay》，重玩1989年的【意難平】以及1990年的【神經】兩張唱片。剛好是【神經】的三十週年，剛好香港的抗爭運動與局勢亦進入另一階段，我想，也是時候要將【神經】這張經典專輯重新檢閱評價。

在1990年推出，【神經】是8964後，其中一張回應天安門屠殺事件的專輯。有別盧冠廷的【1989】或是夏韶聲的《媽媽我沒有做錯》等民謠作品，【神經】看六四及香港都是依舊其一貫風格：抽離但不離地，婉轉卻到肉，感情澎湃卻不流於煽情暴露。達明一派用批判思維，用音樂寫出對社會的觀察，混合流行文化與幽默，製作出這張【神經】，讓達明成為香港流行文化經典中的經典。

評論音樂，常常提到一張唱片能否經歷歲月的洗禮，【神經】正正就是一張三十年以來無論在音樂到主題內容都依舊relevant的經典作品。專輯是香港樂壇「概念專輯」的原形，探討的那些香港與中國及英國的關係，那些去或留的感受，諷刺地，到今時今日的香港，不只依然適用應景，而且更因為這張專輯的歷史而令歌曲有更深、更額外的意義。

音樂性上，【神經】亦是達明一派真正由一隊大量向歐日音樂取經的new wave 樂隊升格為只此一家集合中西影響的art rock樂團。專輯將藝術與流行融合，擴展音樂元素，在樂器的音色及彈奏方法上都突破一般傳統流行音樂的層面，編曲踏上頂尖水平同時卻依然能保持流行元素，不為實驗而實驗，結果就是一張無論在音樂到主題都緊扣合一的出色流行專輯。

專輯用《今天我願你平安,阿們》作開幕，以與聖誕有聯系的《今天應該很高興》營造末世、消極氣氛，然後徐徐送上帶有爵士氣氛的《你情我願》，加入英國國歌，基本上就是《今天應該很高興》的續集。《你情我願》的neon light都市感覺、art rock風格不只令人聯想起Roxy Music 的《Avalon》，當中在氣氛的營造上的出色，亦毫不遜色：那些細碎的處理，鼓聲的回音，配上周耀輝弔詭的「愛情」比喻，到最後用《God save the queen》作結尾，不是完美是什麼。

緊接重回到他們synth pop的根的《諸神的黃昏》，最精彩的地方是作品用了不同的鼓來製造較像民族色彩的氣氛及節拍，為稍後較raw、acoustic的民謠作品舖路。至於歌曲內容，當中的群魔亂舞的意象，「從病態演變成形　濃燄已安葬黎明/從廝殺的角落裡驚叫一抹鮮血屠城/ 祈望眾生更虔誠」，可以直接用在2019年及今時今日的香港。

Stripped to basic 的《皇后大盜》用簡單粗糙的結他，Synth的點綴 ，奇妙的和音運用，加上音樂間奏中畫龍點睛的結他，寫成了這首音樂公路電影。悲哀的是，這個大盜，走了三十年，仍然未能停下來，情懷處境依舊：大盜成手足，只能煲底見，只肯嫁手足。已斷去路，面對如今的絕境，不少的犧牲，我們亦只能繼續唱「沙滾滾願彼此珍重過。」（《皇后大盜》受 Wim Wenders的公路電影《Kings of The Road》啟發，日後亦成為黃耀明自己的專輯名字）

加入中國色彩達明一派在《石頭記》等舊作已做過，但在《天問》則是將中國當代民謠(崔健）、Pageant元素、北方音樂色彩融為一爐的傑作。嗩吶、琵琶的聲音，最終被扭曲成警號siren，過了三十年，歷史還是重演。

改編自1968年《明星之歌》的《排名不分先後左右忠奸(無大無細超)》加入六十年代流行元素，是專輯中的分隔線，將沉重氣氛減退，成為達明一派嬉笑怒罵的政治satire，當中的和音風格亦成為日後黃耀明的人山人海的音樂元素，同時亦成為日後達明一派與香港的切入點。

再續1988年《你還愛我嗎》的reggae影響與camp 味，這次《十個救火的少年》擺明車馬向牙買加取經，大放加勒比海的夏日、節日風情，騎騎尼原來是因為要包裝著潘源良這個其實十分可悲，但一針見血、歷久常新的寓言故事。那個簡單但iconic的結他的滑弦及那些和音，那個歡樂感，是達明一派獨有的港式聲音。

重回Europe disco/synth pop 的根的《講嘢》已算是專輯中最平淡的作品，但在編曲上的仔細位置依然是精彩。《愛彌留》又是在氣氛意境上不能更上乘的傑作，細密鼓聲打奏出來的暗湧是這時代的忐忑心情，屬專輯的首支「內向」作品，亦是過度到三拍子的《開口夢》的最佳之選。《開口夢》 雋永甜美dreamy，但其實何秀萍寫的，本質上依然是《十個救火的少年》的悲哀。「如場戲　忘掉就算」，不過怎想到，相隔三十年，原來香港人多了個族群，他們不選擇忘記，而是索性改寫歷史。

《God Save the Queen》是《皇后大盜》的reprise，黃耀明唱出「沙滾滾願彼此珍重過」作結，百感交集卻不失願景的結局。

【神經】不只是一張結集藝術與流行的經典傑作，更是一個時代的snapshot。推出之今三十年後，份量不減反增，在今年重聽，意境更淒美，內容更入心入肺。當中歌詞的份量亦是尖峰，是周耀輝的代表作。歐美音樂媒體常推The Smiths的【The Queen is Dead】為流行經典，恰巧【神經】不只在音樂上有取經之餘，亦同樣刻載著時代的重量，所以被我們捧為香港流行音樂的最佳專輯，自然當之無愧。

多久沒有聽到台灣出產Lofi、略帶quirky 的低沉男聲，想不到今天聽到《今夜今夜》的台灣獨立唱作人余昊益就讓我聽到人特別充滿希望，因為不只《今夜今夜》出色，一下子聽了他所有作品，其聲音及特色竟然可以如此多元，卻不是拉牛上樹為試而試，而是都能夠獨立成篇，有其創意及實驗性，實在令人佩服。

余昊益的Lofi，那些重回音的結他聲及人聲，那些爛爛的電子音效及brass instruments，讓我想起John Maus，又或是那些玩味又有點像The Magnetic Fields或是Ariel Pink等那些camp 味濃????濃的玩味獨立單位。《今夜今夜》由低沉到funky的跳舞步伐，但在眾多其他詭趣的作品之中，最公整最具流行力但不算是最出眾，其他作品有更多驚喜。

玩起小淸新的《窗簾》不局限於甜美的小淸新旋律，越唱越濛，再有電子噪音，這種迷離古怪的美麗音境，我多久沒有從台灣獨立音樂上聽到？《Conversation》則是groovy 的變奏gospel，卻突然又有跳舞電子戲法，一下子令整首作品變得突然有型dancey 多了。《長長的路跟高山心內的歌》則是加入了電子噪音的台灣道地民謠，你會驚訝為何他的嗓子可以如此多元化？

《我多麼想成為你的鹿》的懷舊電子配詭秘的氣氛是筆者最喜歡的作品，這幾乎就是台灣John Grant 了，不是嗎？

很久沒有因為發現到一個新聲音而這麼興奮，聽余昊益，你就會知道台灣獨立音樂真的越來越好了。

到中國大陸進行采風之旅，然後回來台灣徒步環島客家庄巡演行，這兩三年黃連煜一直不定地在尋根，省思著如何延續傳統山歌之迫切問題，並積極整理那些口傳心授的山歌規則。他的最新作品——【山歌一條路】，依然有著對新舊元素糅合的驚喜，但更值得稱讚，是其完成從「走出去」（《Banana》）到走入自己山路的轉變，如將取之於外的營養，吸收、「內化」成為身體中的一部分。

新專輯《山歌一條路》的序曲對唱，就像唱山歌時會附帶的回聲、迴響、回應，而此回應又喻為是一種傳承，跟《Banana》開篇的《海深嗎》有異曲同工的地方。黃連煜在《山歌一條路》裡面，巧妙運用對唱或對話之形式，提醒人需延續傳統的重要，那裝滿回憶的《祭矮屋》，即以低八度的演唱音軌疊合，象征著和老屋的交談，也暗示對美好舊事物、舊感情、舊價值的守護；矮屋是你的家人，山歌則是黃連煜生命的一部分，他要保住這「屋子」，必須能將它進行「活化」，梅州傳統五句板的《花界情人》，於被中西樂器（小號、笛子）碰撞的編曲擦拭後，便示範了「舊東西」如何在亮出新光澤的同時，又不失其原來的本貌。

跨越古今中外的《山歌一條路》，令舶來的說唱、藍調更能跟客語歌曲融為一體，調和出黃連煜所追求的「新山歌」風味。不論國語、客語饒舌對話的《沒那必要》（又是「對話」形式），或像西方音樂注重節奏、韻律的《土樓阿哥》（令我想起他之前的《黑武士》），甚至是《西部》如歌名已經點出的藍領、牛仔風格，都在套了一件外借衣服的時候，仍保留著客語歌的本質、慣性，使到中西的音樂成份不只疊加在一起那麼地簡單，而是能相互地發生反應！這相互性，還體現於歌詞內容對古與今的打通思考，好比《祭矮屋》回應了台灣「大埔事件」，強拆的可以指是老屋，也可以指舊有的客家文化；而《沒那必要》提到的「語言政策」侵略，至《西部》一窩蜂地去到中國大陸「淘金」之現象，亦共同反思了新潮流的衝擊與危害，以及舊傳統被壓制發展的問題。

因此，《山歌一條路》的最後，仍是要回到屬於自己的路上，回到屬於自己的「根」之中。《祖訓》兩分多鐘緩慢的前奏鋪陳，如暗示返鄉路途的漫長；《山歌一條路》簡單的彈唱、編曲，又撥開了雲霧，使人看清前面的路向。專輯以心中無沙塵的《過山拉》、《山歌王》為始，到單純的《山歌一條路》作結，像畫了一個圓圈，告訴你還其本質的重要，也告訴你窮一生尋找的終站，其實就是你出發的起點。

感受過歲月冷眼的黃連煜，自然瞭解外面世界的複雜險惡，他將客家山歌變為自己的信仰、變為一種精神歸屬，因為在山歌裡可以找到一方净土，能抵禦惡俗流行的侵蝕，避免受到偏歪了的價值觀所感染。使人慢下來的《山歌一條路》，更使人清醒，其內裡面揉進細膩情感與看透風塵的創作，如提供了火把一樣，好讓你在歸途經過險峻的山路時，能夠用上。

當你一開《低調人生》，你會否頓一頓，電子檔的話你會質疑壞了？唱片的話你會懷疑花了？聽上去像一邊的聲道跛了，或如KTV關了配唱，聽畢頭幾首，或許才會定一定，這種風格，其實很好聽，是刻意的低調吧。

公主不理你聽不聽到，也不理你會否去讀回歌詞，她的聲線比吟誦更低調，卻比呻吟更完美，把歌聲還原至音樂的一部份，不聲張，不奪耳，與旋律平起平坐，是為與大碟概念最吻合的處理。

我們大概可以逐句對比，看什麼句子是聽得出所以然，什麼句子則沉沒在音樂裡，但她這是在示範當代藝術──形式是功能，載體是訊息，這是內容崩潰的年代，我也不好意思作過份細緻的文本解讀。陳珊妮一向顛覆──你覺得她搖滾使勁代你吶喊，她就轉去若即若離的電音；你認定她是暗黑系，她就入世之極同你玩「裝」，甚至唱起簡單情歌來；如今戰績力證其為金牌製作人，她則一反流行曲規則，連歌詞也摒棄。

這樣的演唱方法，令我想起她在某歌唱比賽中，對一個其他評判嗤之以鼻的歌手說，「我覺得你唱得很特別，大概這裡的人不知道你花了多少苦功。」如同摑了其他評審一巴，亦可見其非傳統的標準，是陳珊妮為何真正前衞。

我想，於我，作為樂迷，這張專輯最令人敬佩的是，那麼有意思的歌詞，她也選擇不高週聲張。只不過，話雖如此，公主每次的主題那麼扣人共鳴，誰捨得不去深究歌詞呢？公主有文藝的腔週，有知性的觸覺，卻比常見空泛的表達更實在。擅用實詞，沒有多餘濫情的形容或想像，意像鮮明如「紅酒一整杯 太接近你體溫／我不該幻想兩個人 就擁有雙倍的安穩」，畫面寄情如「發票和單人床／我愛你和酸了的湯／游標指的方向」。帶點文藝的歌詞多濫情，所以用詞更不能濫，她卻能做到既不濫，亦不專，更不稀，而是用詞得宜。

整張專輯多以敘事形式，訴說在社會不同角落的人，像在暗暗一角低調地觀察眾生：支持同性變的〈女王〉（我更多心地覺得甚至是選最為人白眼的變裝皇后Drag Queen 作切入）；〈破碎的人〉把破誶家庭之破碎回歸家暴始作俑者；描述〈出軌〉心態，沒有道德包伏卻有自我安慰。一輪又一輪的觀察，是以〈啟示路〉點出〈無常〉，看很越多，自然更達化境。

流行反撃戰

香港Hip-hop最光輝的一頁或者要數都要數到去LMF的年代，當LMF解散變做打游撃後，然後就是陳冠希、農夫再到廿四味，其實香港Hip-hop不是沒有市場，不過問題是歌手怎樣將hip-hop包裝再推廣到主流市場層面。台灣方面更証明其實Hip-hop大有可為，由MC Hotdog到蛋堡到上年的葛仲珊都是又流行又出色的Hip-hop單位。香港呢，香港的Hip-hop界呢，除了MC 仁陳冠希等有沒有新血呢？有，我們有一個充滿熱血的MastaMic，首張專輯【流行反撃戰】就是一張我地香港人最鍾意講的「好有heart好有火」的專輯。

戰術來說，【流行反撃戰】就是一張以其人之道，還治其人之身的玄妙專輯，以極流行反流行的一步。專輯中有大量廣東流行元素，全部都係大眾會受落的元素。例如以鋼琴引入加入很多orchestra樂器的《長大》就係一首傳統song based的作品，那cheerful很平易近人的調調以及有關個人生活的題材就像是繼承了農夫最紅時期的那些作品。同樣很農夫樂觀到爆炸的有C AllStar的《Shine》，sample 的那幾粒很舊的合成器的音又確實很好聽。或是寫香港80後病態打工生態的《Go!》是首超級爽快直接的搖滾流行作品，整首作品的結他到旋律編排甚至比香港很多搖滾樂隊的編排更到位更流麗。很funky 很chill的《上位》則由側田、Jerald獻聲，根本沒有討厭的理由；　有Supper Moment的Sunny唱的《Loser》則有點像二千年代日本hip-hop 組合的poprock/hip-hop美好流行作品，副歌的旋律更很有beyond 年代那些直接的優良旋律，而outtro的編排實在壯麗，最奇妙的是由人的和聲發展到「絃樂」，很美好。

找來近年沉寂的獨立歌手咖啡因公園合作的《Showtyme》則是香港聽外國樂隊的樂迷大愛的Linkin Park、Evanescence等的範疇，混合較重型搖滾、較黒暗、gothic元素。有Jerald 發聲的最初是較老派的《憎我》，怎知道歌曲發展到變成AK-47去為自己發聲，連珠爆發，只能以「壯觀」二字總結。主打《流行無罪》的層層遞進，那份氣勢在香港樂壇什麼時候有聽過呢？當中炮轟那些連廣東歌都沒認真聽便隨口批評的人，是不是大快很多廣東樂迷的心？當然，《禁歌》的急速結尾，以「Hong Kong R.I.P. 」收結，最是神來之筆，聽得人突然沉重起來。

Mastamic的「主流燃點起地下光輝」志願，其實不難，這張又出色又流行的專輯既有不同容易受落的流行元素，亦有用心編排的細密心思在內。若然有主流媒體支持，我不敢說這些歌曲全部變大熱，但要取得好的銷量及支持相信會是輕而易舉。香港樂壇問題的嚴重，就是有好的音樂還是沒有好的音樂平台去推廣給大眾；推廣給大眾又要經保守樂迷的狹窄口味測試。但是，這已不是傷心的時候，香港在所有層面都已到達一個水深火熱不可容緩的地步，不想香港死，就要有決心地反抗，打一場漂亮的反撃戰。

流行無罪，難聽不流行的流行音樂才有罪。

有「歌手」賺大錢買毫宅，有些歌手則用積蓄放棄買樓用來「投資」出唱片。為何要用括號括著「投資」？因為「投資」甚有商業意味，意味著有利可圖或是一門生意。對於不買樓卻用來推出首張唱片的林二汶，筆者則認為用「投資」二字不切合她的狀況，她的音樂已跳出主流音樂的框架，不是一門生意。她是投入她的金錢、時間及熱情在音樂身上——這是真正做音樂的表現。

單看專輯封套就知這是一張很「圓滑」的唱片，確實，這是一張很講求錄音質素及聲音質素的studio大碟。林二汶的聲音清而透，聽得到平時聽不到的甜及清。而且，平時什麼hi-fi唱片均只將頭探在靚聲一環，忽略編曲及音樂部份。這張大碟則除了靚聲外，在編曲上一様有不少新點子，是少有的兩者兼具。

Adele x Massive Attack

在正常setting再聽首支單曲《Wanna Be》，發現jazzy略略funky的味道更醇，這就更証實這是一張專輯需要有較好的音樂配套去播才能嗒到更好的味道。早曝光的《聽說》重新編曲，Featuring 岑寧兒，是專輯其中一首最melodic、旋律最美麗的歌曲。整首歌將簡約的空靈音樂氣氛發揮得淋漓盡致，你記得windows media player的那些水的「音樂視像」嗎？或者這首歌是「主題曲」了。岑寧兒和音部份帶點gospel處理，這不是Adele x Massive Attack的一個mash up嗎。

「今天放棄向上爬　難道~為怕有一天失足跌下」

《北京道落雪了》那醇厚的氣氛，起初以為是舊時代紙醉金迷的舞廳的那種歌曲。怎知一下子爆發，是表現林二汶聲音力量的過渡曲，亦是連接到《驚人》的最佳選擇。《驚人》的結他音色及風馳電掣的感覺有如坐上一道超高速快車，在營光色的公路上奔馳，是sci-fi電影Thon或Star Trek的映象。同時間林二汶卻字字有力唱出于逸堯為其填出的心底話，聽得出每一字每一句也是肺腑之言。

「盛世最好當奴隸　生死不用契」

沉淪到底的《玫瑰奴隸》是把香港流行曲的「垃圾爛泥文化」推到極限的作品，亦是當中最具故事性及電影感的作品，「盛世最好當奴隸　生死不用契」，頗接近「被世界遺棄不可怕」的頹廢美態。《微醺》則是首十分八九十年代日本流行曲註腳的作品，可以是玉置浩二又或是桑田佳佑。當中墊上的男和音的處理實在簡單美麗。

粉紅與自信

全碟最尾，忽然傳來不插電較raw的聲音，《仙樂飄飄處處聞》是首直接好玩的pop rock作品，亦是像回應林二汶的「人山人海」的根的一首作品。和音大合唱或是當中的電子聲亦是人山人海的signature。同時多得藍奕邦，這首作品變得更具意義︰這絕對是香港最queer最粉紅的作品，亦可做同志活動主題曲。在這裡畫公仔畫出腸，之前有讀者問為何這首與同志文化有關？藍奕邦筆下的「聖子」、「芭芭拉史翠珊」、「加加」全是同志界近乎stereotypes的人物；「大紅鞋」、「七彩」、「蝴蝶最終忍不到想破繭」還不夠明顯嗎？不過，這不是有關同志不同志的話題，而是有關對自己的肯定與認同。與《斗零踭》或《翅膀下的風》同樣都是為自己的打氣歌。

坦白說，在林二汶未推出個人專輯前，很怕林二汶走向《無忘花》的路線，變成唱上傳統演歌的情歌路線。現在當這張首張專輯正式推出後便鬆一口氣。其實，at17沒有解散，反而在樂壇各自努力，發展不一樣的音樂風格及道路，比起死不斷氣合在一起更加可貴。這張專輯或者是因為于逸堯關係，其實很楊千嬅；又或者，楊千嬅那些關於自身反省自勉自勵的歌詞亦是很是每一個人，亦是很是缺乏自信的林二汶。林二汶的音樂絕對不是投資，別被主流媒體污染了你的音樂及情操呢。

每個時代都總有一個音樂的精神領袖，他們不是蔡依林式的大紅，卻是受到小眾樂迷的追捧，在小眾裏成為大眾，成為音樂圈不能分割的重要位置。由最早期的黃韻玲，到陳綺貞唱出了那一群七八十後年輕人的感情生活，將年輕人枯燥的感情思緒變成小文藝式的大浪漫。到了二千年，這個動蕩的年代，娛樂八掛已不及政治民生那麼有娛樂性，個人小哀愁已不及城市環境的變化那麼觸動人神經。張懸，便正正是乘著這個年代而生的新一代音樂領袖。

她們，被稱為女神，又或是老師，然而共通的是，她們沒有賣出自己的靈魂，在主流裏堅持獨立，獨立的靈魂卻唱出了整個時代。

張懸首張專輯最初還活在陳綺貞般的唱作才女的影子，大家還在觀望態度；在【親愛的我還不知道】便開始唱出她真正的聲音；而在【城市】張懸便可算是完全自成一家。相隔三年，【神的遊戲】在港台社會均紛亂的情況下推出，更特顯將這專輯的時代性。

【神的遊戲】基本上是在【城市】中的後搖post rock音樂影響中再度探索，著重的不是音色的靚或旋律的美，而是聲音的氣氛及整體配合帶出來的音樂力量。而且張懸在這張碟的歌詞可謂把其新詩式的寫作更大膽地運用，與音樂一樣著重的是意象是意境，而非說道理或流線式敘事，是真的文學，帶著的是真正的文字的魅力。

寫給社運朋友的《玫瑰色的你》就正正把專輯最美麗最出色的地方點出。歌曲由平緩引入到氣氛凝聚，見証的是張懸對音樂的掌控及對情感與事物表達的力量。單單用鋼琴及結他的引入再逐步慢慢低調地加入不同樂器的舖陳，最後每一個音符每一個樂器聲都擲地有聲。

「玫瑰色的眼鏡」的意象的廣大，就是張懸歌詞能稱得上文學的原因。粉紅色既有本身政治含意，亦有更多引申及想像空間。如筆者則不知為何想起參加社運的經典傳奇歌手John Lennon，從此再再將歌詞到與為社會運動作出貢獻的人，當中思想的跳躍，當中意念的轉移，當中情感的表達，可算是這個華語樂壇中少被達到的層次與境界。

緊接用鼓聲引入、帶著重重echo及矇矓音色的《瘋狂的陽光》則像是回應著《玫瑰色的你》的環境，同様是張懸其獨家的粉紅色瀘鏡下的世界，既真實又虛幻。充斥著結他滑絃聲的《藍天白雲》較接近上張專輯較傳統的post rock音色，是張懸式的芭樂慘情作；青峰填的《兩者》是曖昧的一部小電影，藉著清脆結他聲勾勒出來的indie alternative pop/rock的音樂，唱出來的是不尋常的冷清。

張懸的音樂，出色的，不是因為其動聽或是什麼技術層面，而是她對音樂的堅持及出色的掌控，碟內每一個音都用得精準美麗，每一首歌都是畫面與感情豐富的場境。作為一張不吃人間煙火的出色專輯，絕對是華語樂壇能夠幾乎找不到「妥協」的蹤跡的少數，如在聽一張低格調的歐美indie pop專集，如在看一本小品文或散文集。

其如冷火一樣的音樂，沒有朗朗上口的旋律，沒有任何明顯對某個大團的reference,卻仍然能夠以其充滿著意象及溫暖情懷的小眾音樂成功獲得大眾程度的支持度，成為新一代敢言、敢用音樂支持自己相信的信念並帶領大眾的領袖。張懸，我以這段歌詞來表達我與及整個樂壇對你的敬意。

時日真如飛，不經不覺，自陳珊妮首張專輯到現在已有十七年，陳珊妮原來已踏入四十。就如她在電視訪問中說，也許女人四十才最勇敢，因為之前顧慮的已不再顧慮了，人生再次踏進另一階段。我想，大概因為這樣，我們才會聽到這樣一張以Electronic Pop作主????的專輯。

從來陳珊妮的每張專輯都是一個完整充實的策劃，無論在音樂到唱片封套甚至她的形象與造型都會是貫徹始終。這次【I Love You, John】亦不例外，就像封套上激似奈良美智的公仔一樣，陳珊妮選擇用可愛而absurd的Pop Culture風格包裝她這次有關人生有關青春有關要好好活著的主題專輯。音樂方面，由以往的文藝女生到熱門製作人到電視節目【超級偶像】評審，陳珊妮越走越近主流大眾。上一張專輯【如果有一件事是重要的】的重點是優雅隆重的管絃配簡單美好的旋律，這次【I Love You, John】更進一步，運用那輕快跳脫的電子風格來裝飾那前所未有的Pop的旋律。

文藝系的朋友一定急不及待說陳珊妮販賣靈魂給主流音樂了。其實，這算不上是什麼妥協又或是討好市場，在陳珊妮眼中原來那些台灣美眉的打扮說話方式都是無限可愛。「正妹都很可愛」，陳珊妮這樣說。喜歡Hello Kitty的她難怪會因為正妹潮語「John」(John即是「這樣」的諧音)而用一晚時間創作《I Love You, John》。《I Love You, John》的嬌滴滴味道濃烈，就像粉紅閃粉、士多啤梨等一系列典型少女定型走在一起。難怪有人打趣說這不是給郭書瑤唱的嗎。當然，陳珊妮自然懂得怎樣將這份萌味變成型格，先是似特意向Bill Conti的Rocky Theme Song致敬的電子Trombone聲效riff作起奏，已經讓人緊握拳頭；再送上拳拳有力的鼓聲，你便知道這是一首帶著少女心，電子跳舞靈魂的爽快跳舞作品。副歌用剔透鍵琴音色一下子變為可愛夢幻的內心世界，又是神奇。

揭開專輯序幕的《OK》則意義重大，在歌詞內容到音樂上都為專輯定立了基石。在電子色彩下陳珊妮用典雅的鋼琴聲打通全首作品的血脈，抽象說就像是在冷酷型格的基礎上加添了人文的關懷及情感，立體一點，就其實像是在傢俬電器上塗上貼子，畫上塗鴉一樣的personalise的作用。歌曲表面OK卻其實很不OK，陳珊妮的文字就是如此聰明地又樂觀又悲觀，典型的苦中作樂，留下的就只有無奈。緊接的《青春》是同系電子爽快作品，16bit中國味道則忽然想起近年的新褲子，鋼琴依舊在穿針引線；對青春的闡述更是傳神，或者，音樂就是青春，青春就是音樂，我們就是要多一點感受多一點體會。再緊接連貫的《慢動作解說》靈感來自家庭暴力，偏向更純粹的電子跳舞作品。

較少女風情的小品《Naive》大概就是陳珊妮口中說「每個人心中都有個小孩」的表達。被人叫幼稚又怎樣，每個人都有選擇好好地活自己的命的權利。《I Love You, John》之後專輯來了個心情轉變，用氣氛較沉澱，色彩較陰暗，較接近上一張專輯的風格的《晚安曲》來連接感性、帶著小憂愁的《美好人生》則是最好不過。《美好人生》是在呢喃人生這漫長道路的所有未之數，我們會走到哪裏？不過，有趣的還是陳珊妮正面地負面的風格，人生是「美好人生」，至少，人生有「美好的」假設。一句「因為女孩都瘋狂」，忽然令整首歌曲帶著強烈的女性意識，有趣。

有著Trip Hop色彩的《Bitte》，則順著《美好人生》的憂鬱，把專輯推到更黑暗更負面的情緒。Bitte即是徳文的Please，音樂風格似回到《後來我們都哭了》的陳珊妮，歌詞用字及較多動作及畫面的手法，較接近早期的陳珊妮。《愛情》則是另一首有關愛情哲學的小品作，算是引領到第二主打《雙人體操》的過渡作。靈感來自國民健康操的《雙人體操》是專輯典型的電子爽快流行。有趣的是有別像《OK》等專輯上半部的作品，《雙人體操》是最單純的feel good作品，氣氛及運用的音色與手法都更校園更年輕化，聽，鋼琴亦拿掉了。

陳珊妮利用【I Love You, John】來表達Pop Music其實不一定要是情情塌塌的慢板歌曲的，亦不一定要像Madonna般那些要勁歌熱舞的快歌。喜歡以往的陳珊妮的朋友或會嫌作品太流行太即食，旋律太相似之類的。然而，事實是你不能否定【I Love You, John】是華語樂壇一張鮮有以旋律節拍及編曲帶動心情的爽朗流行專輯，在執行及製作水平上都是高水準的情況下，你會知道流行音樂也可以很有水準很有型格很有態度。

孫燕姿

在為孫燕姿提筆之前，我剛好把早期一張名為【Stefanie】（孫燕姿的英文名）的專輯挖出來回味，畢竟這不是她第一次暫別歌壇了。在同名歌曲中，孫燕姿寫出了她當時的心情：“對天空大聲咆哮，答案我卻聽不到”。作為一張復出專輯，【Stefanie】因歌手出色的演繹和創新的音樂元素引起了媒體的關注和金曲獎的認同。

七年後，孫燕姿再度帶來了暫別歌壇後的代表作【是時候】，專輯在意識和製作方針方面更為明確。歌詞冊內頁引用了印度詩人奈度夫人詩篇《Life》的詩詞，訴說了艱辛的心路歷程和生命的真諦。其中“Till you have battled with great grief and fears”與歌手日後訪問中提到的“默默的和自己打了一仗”有所呼應。當初孫燕姿並沒打算要休息這麼久，卻對最鍾愛的歌唱事業感到茫然和焦慮。於是，她決定冒險，把手上的工作擱在一邊，嘗試走出歌手的身份。轉眼四年時間的“自由人”生活過得相當充實（且有點放縱），這次體悟有如孫燕姿所形容的“走出圍城後，兩邊都嘗試了”一樣難忘，擴大了視野就學會如何爭取自己所需要的。調整了步伐後，就顯得自信淡定，並迫不及待想把這四年裡所累積的想法通過真切的音符呈現給惦記著她的歌迷。

封套上的標籤寫著“沒有要超越什麼，突破什麼，只想做一個更好的自己”。這句話點明了專輯的風格和目標：沒有驚世駭俗的表現，只希望在原有的基礎上精益求精。在競爭激烈的歌壇裡，這樣的做法似乎有點“反其道而行之”。初次接觸這張專輯時，果然難掩心中的失望，感覺許多歌都少了驚喜，甚至有點原地踏步。不過，仔細聆听就不難發現孫燕姿的蛻變，其演繹技巧更為純熟，大部分的歌詞也反映了歌手的執著和熱忱，彷彿在告訴聽者，唱歌的依然是“你熟悉的我”，只是在心境上已開始懂得堅持自己的主見。可見孫燕姿是經過了深思熟慮，反复嘗試之後，通過用心、細膩的創作，使專輯在維持水準和滿足市場需求之間取得了平衡。這一次我可以有把握的說，四年時間，花在等待一張出色的專輯的誕生，非常值​​得。

首波主打《世說心語》最能貼切形容孫燕姿的心裡話。 “發現原來心自由才能真的快樂”描寫了和唱片公司解約後如釋重負的感受。 “太多美麗的語言不比心語的純潔勇敢奔向新世界”則提醒了許多迷失方向的織夢者要時常保持顆赤子的心懷，且聆聽真正讓自己心動的聲音。我覺得由新台兩岸音樂人共譜的這首作品雖然少了渲染力，卻相當完整地總結了歌手這四年裡的心態。倒是編曲相當突出，冷色系的電音節拍，柔和了歌手灼熱的情緒，並同時與沈著的格調相輔相成，我特別欣賞歌手在背景裡輕聲朗誦了奈度夫人詩作的編排。如果你希望聽到於以往有所不同的作品，那這首漂亮的出擊應該可以滿足你。

同樣帶點迷幻色彩的hidden track《11》道出了孫燕姿蓄勢待發的決心：“我要衝破束縛的圈圈我要下一個冒險”。或許是因為歌手內心裡有股即將要爆發的力量，編曲人選用了搖滾的方式突顯了歌手對未來的企圖。歌曲的確和第一首作品有相似之處，我倒覺得這首歌才是歌手正式的起跑點。 “一滴淚就能灌溉荒野仙人掌的堅決還沒凋謝”更是表達了她求新求變的自我要求。若你還沒察覺，這是她為自己出道11年以及錄製了11張個人專輯而收錄的作品，並且特意安排在第十首作品後的1分11秒播出，《11》的非凡意義何其重要。

《當冬夜漸暖》是典型的“孫式情歌”，溫暖細緻的歌詞搭配朗朗上口的優美旋律以及歌手深情的青澀演繹，引起了廣大歌迷的偏愛是預料中的事。你或許不知，當初孫燕姿沒打算錄製這首歌，要不是孫爸爸的撮合，歌迷就沒那“耳福”了，台灣暢銷作家藤井樹的歌詞也就無法獲得廣大歌迷的青睞。說到欣賞，不得不提一提專輯裡的同名作品。同樣是饒善強的曲子，難度卻更高。由於旋律的起伏不大，因此需要依賴歌手全神貫注的詮釋，尤其在後半段，需放下脆弱的一面，學習如何堅強地鬆開手。 《是時候》讓孫燕姿的歌聲成為一種樂器，充沛且紮實，又特別傷感。兩首抒情作品之間，我對第二首情有獨鍾。

民謠曲風的《明天的記憶》似曾相識，李焯雄正面積極的歌詞表現平平，倒是孫燕姿唱出了“讓明天把今天給記住不是因為孤獨”裡的堅韌不移。快歌《空口言》的曲風也同樣讓人聯想起早前的《咕嘰咕嘰》，只不過“空口言”這個構思較具新鮮感，歌手也保持了多年來的帥氣和灑脫。最先曝光的《愚人的國度》成了孫燕姿收錄的唯一創作。可惜我對這首過於平凡的作品沒什麼印象。

這是孫燕姿出道的第十​​一個年頭了，在回顧她發表過的作品時，突然有種莫名的情緒。我開始回憶起當年孫爸爸在我大學生涯裡的模樣。那年我必須重修某個單元，孫爸爸剛好是我的導師。每一回他都細心地把教材裡繁雜的內容解釋清楚，即使課室裡的學生常打瞌睡也沒氣餒。重投歌壇的孫燕姿雖然沒做出驚天動地的改變，但她那把別樹一格的迷人歌聲在詮釋新作品時就足以喚起了人們對她的想念。這回如此謹慎的起步，成功反映了歌手的理性思維和認真態度。當然，她也有可愛的一面，不停地強調自己不是成熟了，而是懂事了。 “你總會提醒我你最喜歡懂事的我”這時的燕姿對喜愛她的歌迷來說，應該是最嫵媚、最勇敢的，也最令人著迷。

The Pancakes 算是香港在AMK, Huh!?及亞龍大的Indie 輝煌期後的最成功indie 單位之一。由當年九巴廣告到近年幫麥兜電影製作主題曲，更憑《咁咁咁》贏得金像獎最佳電影歌曲，Dejay這傳奇女子可謂不可以再傳奇。

The Pancakes的風格從來都是「重口味」，喜歡的人通常喜歡她的幽默及童趣，不喜歡的人通常接受不了她的特別唱歌方法，如何「扭音」如何「cutie」都是令不喜歡她音樂的人皺眉的地方。這亦正正是The Pancakes的可愛地方，打滾十年依然固我，像新歌《腦殘遊記》，一樣是用她獨突咬字與唱歌方法唱出這可愛調子。亦一貫其幽默愛自嘲的本色（最經典的莫過於是她說最初想玩英倫音樂的她變成玩pop songs全是因為沒音樂天份），以「腦殘」來自述其「白痴仔」身世，十分啜核抵死，甚有麥兜超現實荒誕的幽默感覺。

其實，我們都不介意成為某些人眼中的「腦殘」。就如The Pancakes 的Indie 精神，主流如何重視「正常」唱功或是「似有非有的」價值去打壓個性打壓小眾時，我們不介意自嘲是腦殘，只要你承認你是腦殘，那我們都可以快樂地活在豬欄。

聽盧凱彤Ellen的《雀斑》，不禁要讚嘆，當年只有十六還是十七歲的盧凱彤，今天已是獨當一面的singer-songwriter。

當然，從沒忘記盧凱彤的作曲能力，早期楊千嬅的《龍爭虎鬥》到《偷吻杜魯福》仍然嗅到校園淸新爽利的風格；到聽黃耀明的《親愛的瑪嘉烈》到近作《絕色》，我就知道在主流圈子裏工作近十年的她在作曲層面上已成了「專業級」，能譜寫流行流行卻秀麗之作。

at17的暫時完結其實很是明智。Over the Rainbow中作品的個性被市場的需求而磨滅。然後跟著Ellen個人發展首支單曲《Summer of Love》已是明顯地說明她走的是忠於自己的道路。或嫌《Summer of Love》火氣不足衝撃不足，聽《雀斑》則美得讓人順服了。

在那些美麗的絃樂，在Ellen的青澀脆弱的聲線裏我們聽到的是青春戀愛的美麗殘酷。《雀斑》的美學在於在人聲製作方面的智慧，捨棄傳統studio式的人聲完美美學，取用Lo-fi接近現實生活的聲音質感，成功製作出一首淸秀美麗的獨立流行作品。甚至我聯想到的是陳綺貞【讓我想一想】大碟中，歌曲那種像在沉溺於個人感情狀態的質感。

盧凱彤再一次証明她與人山人海團隊對音樂的觸覺與歌曲整體處理的敏銳，而不是束拘於某一製作模式。這次走的是台灣書卷氣味的獨立流行，期待她下一個的完整音樂作品。

記起刺猬與新褲子等北京樂團在FringeClub表演的情況，當時他們還是組軍不久；演出時就像剛畢業的學生，衝勁有力量有個性但音樂面貌仍然在摸索階段。

不經不覺來到第四張專輯【甜蜜與殺害】，刺猬已經是一隊變成製作精良成熟的樂隊，凌駕在shoegazing、dream pop及noise pop等音樂類型的邊緣，仍然有北京的糜爛，青春的反叛青澀及迷幻氣氛。甚至可以聯想到 此範疇的高手美國樂團Deerhunter【Halcyon Digest】的聲音。
