香港Hip-hop最光輝的一頁或者要數都要數到去LMF的年代，當LMF解散變做打游撃後，然後就是陳冠希、農夫再到廿四味，其實香港Hip-hop不是沒有市場，不過問題是歌手怎樣將hip-hop包裝再推廣到主流市場層面。台灣方面更証明其實Hip-hop大有可為，由MC Hotdog到蛋堡到上年的葛仲珊都是又流行又出色的Hip-hop單位。香港呢，香港的Hip-hop界呢，除了MC 仁陳冠希等有沒有新血呢？有，我們有一個充滿熱血的MastaMic，首張專輯【流行反撃戰】就是一張我地香港人最鍾意講的「好有heart好有火」的專輯。

戰術來說，【流行反撃戰】就是一張以其人之道，還治其人之身的玄妙專輯，以極流行反流行的一步。專輯中有大量廣東流行元素，全部都係大眾會受落的元素。例如以鋼琴引入加入很多orchestra樂器的《長大》就係一首傳統song based的作品，那cheerful很平易近人的調調以及有關個人生活的題材就像是繼承了農夫最紅時期的那些作品。同樣很農夫樂觀到爆炸的有C AllStar的《Shine》，sample 的那幾粒很舊的合成器的音又確實很好聽。或是寫香港80後病態打工生態的《Go!》是首超級爽快直接的搖滾流行作品，整首作品的結他到旋律編排甚至比香港很多搖滾樂隊的編排更到位更流麗。很funky 很chill的《上位》則由側田、Jerald獻聲，根本沒有討厭的理由；　有Supper Moment的Sunny唱的《Loser》則有點像二千年代日本hip-hop 組合的poprock/hip-hop美好流行作品，副歌的旋律更很有beyond 年代那些直接的優良旋律，而outtro的編排實在壯麗，最奇妙的是由人的和聲發展到「絃樂」，很美好。

找來近年沉寂的獨立歌手咖啡因公園合作的《Showtyme》則是香港聽外國樂隊的樂迷大愛的Linkin Park、Evanescence等的範疇，混合較重型搖滾、較黒暗、gothic元素。有Jerald 發聲的最初是較老派的《憎我》，怎知道歌曲發展到變成AK-47去為自己發聲，連珠爆發，只能以「壯觀」二字總結。主打《流行無罪》的層層遞進，那份氣勢在香港樂壇什麼時候有聽過呢？當中炮轟那些連廣東歌都沒認真聽便隨口批評的人，是不是大快很多廣東樂迷的心？當然，《禁歌》的急速結尾，以「Hong Kong R.I.P. 」收結，最是神來之筆，聽得人突然沉重起來。

Mastamic的「主流燃點起地下光輝」志願，其實不難，這張又出色又流行的專輯既有不同容易受落的流行元素，亦有用心編排的細密心思在內。若然有主流媒體支持，我不敢說這些歌曲全部變大熱，但要取得好的銷量及支持相信會是輕而易舉。香港樂壇問題的嚴重，就是有好的音樂還是沒有好的音樂平台去推廣給大眾；推廣給大眾又要經保守樂迷的狹窄口味測試。但是，這已不是傷心的時候，香港在所有層面都已到達一個水深火熱不可容緩的地步，不想香港死，就要有決心地反抗，打一場漂亮的反撃戰。

流行無罪，難聽不流行的流行音樂才有罪。
