The Pancakes 算是香港在AMK, Huh!?及亞龍大的Indie 輝煌期後的最成功indie 單位之一。由當年九巴廣告到近年幫麥兜電影製作主題曲，更憑《咁咁咁》贏得金像獎最佳電影歌曲，Dejay這傳奇女子可謂不可以再傳奇。

The Pancakes的風格從來都是「重口味」，喜歡的人通常喜歡她的幽默及童趣，不喜歡的人通常接受不了她的特別唱歌方法，如何「扭音」如何「cutie」都是令不喜歡她音樂的人皺眉的地方。這亦正正是The Pancakes的可愛地方，打滾十年依然固我，像新歌《腦殘遊記》，一樣是用她獨突咬字與唱歌方法唱出這可愛調子。亦一貫其幽默愛自嘲的本色（最經典的莫過於是她說最初想玩英倫音樂的她變成玩pop songs全是因為沒音樂天份），以「腦殘」來自述其「白痴仔」身世，十分啜核抵死，甚有麥兜超現實荒誕的幽默感覺。

其實，我們都不介意成為某些人眼中的「腦殘」。就如The Pancakes 的Indie 精神，主流如何重視「正常」唱功或是「似有非有的」價值去打壓個性打壓小眾時，我們不介意自嘲是腦殘，只要你承認你是腦殘，那我們都可以快樂地活在豬欄。
